Dress One: ANNAKOO Tulle Ballgown Wedding Dress Review

Took this one out first. The skirt just... exploded. In a good way. It's massive—layers of tulle with glitter woven in, 3D lace flowers all over the bodice.

But straight out of the bag, it was a wrinkly mess. Like, really wrinkly. The tulle was fine, but the lace bodice had creases everywhere from being folded. I shook it out as best I could and just went with it.

Put it on and immediately understood why people spend more on this shape. The off-the-shoulder top has built-in support which was a relief because I hate shapewear. Back has a zipper and corset laces so you can adjust. I'm a pretty standard size and it fit fine.

The train is dramatic. Sweeps behind you, spills over furniture. I did the whole chaise lounge pose thing with the train draped across and honestly? Even with all the wrinkles, it looked gorgeous. The lace is detailed, the sequins catch light, the whole thing feels like a princess dress.

Now the wrinkles? They're there. Visible in photos if you look close. But here's the thing—any bride getting this delivered is going to steam it or have it pressed before the wedding. So I'm not holding that against the dress. The fabric quality underneath the shipping creases is solid.

Once it was on, the wrinkles softened a bit from body heat but they were still there. Especially around the waist and the train. You can see every single fold line in the right lighting. Again—steaming would fix this in five minutes. But out of the package? Not great.

This one scared me taking it out of the bag. Satin and wrinkles are not friends. And yeah, it was rough. Crumpled all over from being folded into a small package. I literally shook it out and held it up and thought, "well this looks terrible right now." But I put it on anyway because that's the whole point of this.

The dress itself is beautiful. Heavy satin, feels expensive, photographs like a dream when you angle it right. Off-the-shoulder folded neckline, ruching across the torso that actually flatters, high slit that's dramatic but not trashy. The listing calls it A-line but it's not—it's fitted through the hips and flares at the knee. Mermaid. Just so you know.

Fit issues: no stretch at all. I'm 27 chest, 24 waist, and the lace-up back barely closed. The off-the-shoulder folds slip if you raise your arms—you'd need to get those tacked down. And the train is heavy. Lots of fabric dragging behind you.

But even all crumpled up, I could tell this dress has potential. A good steam and some minor alterations and it would look like a designer piece.

Pulled this one out and immediately noticed the wrinkles were different. The satin part was crumpled like the mermaid, but the lace sleeves were actually in decent shape. Lace holds up better to folding, I guess.

The sleeves are beautiful—full lace with floral detailing. One weird thing: the cuffs have little eyelet loops that look like they should have laces running through them, but nothing came with the dress. Just empty loops. I don't know if that's by design or if something was missing.

Bodice is off-the-shoulder with a deep V and a sheer modesty panel sewn in. You can't remove it but I actually liked it—added some coverage without looking matronly. Back has full corset lacing and this time the cord was long enough to actually cinch things properly.

Fit was tricky. The waist hit me in a weird spot—I'm petite so maybe that's why. Shoulders were too wide. I usually wear XS or Small but had to order a Medium for this one, and you can really tell. The shoulder fabric kept slipping down. You'd almost definitely need alterations for this one.

Out of the package, the wrinkles on the satin skirt were very visible. The lace was fine, but the body of the dress needs serious steaming. Once you smooth it out though? It's stunning. Very old Hollywood, very romantic.

These dresses straight out of the bag look like... dresses that just came out of a bag. They're wrinkled. The satin has crease lines. The lace bodice of the ballgown had fold marks. None of them looked red-carpet ready right away.

But here's what I realized: that's not the dress's fault. That's shipping. That's how fabric works. If you buy a $2,000 dress online, it's coming wrinkled too. Weddings require steaming, period. So I'm not going to knock these for having wrinkles fresh out of the plastic.

What I am going to say is this: underneath the shipping creases, the quality is there. The fabrics are thick. The lace is detailed. The construction feels solid. The ballgown is a 10/10 safe bet. The mermaid needs a couple tweaks but looks expensive. The vintage one might need real tailoring depending on your body type.

Are they perfect? No. But for under $200 each? You're getting way more than you're paying for. Just budget for a steam and maybe a seamstress. That's true of any wedding dress you order online.
