Casual Second Wedding Dress Under $100 – Soft Lace & Chiffon

I’m so glad I went with this high low wedding dress for my second wedding. The first time around, I did the whole big ballgown thing—beautiful, but also heavy and kind of a production. This time I just wanted something that felt like me, and I really didn’t want to spend a ton. Under $100 was the goal. I wasn’t sure I’d find anything that actually looked bridal at that price.

But this lace and chiffon midi dress surprised me. The top has this delicate lace, sleeveless, not too flashy, and the skirt is layered and flows out nicely—it hits at a cute high low length that showed off my wedge sandals.

I wore it for outdoor photos in a field and then inside a little stone chapel, and it worked great for both. Lightweight, easy to move around in, no tripping over layers of tulle or worrying about a train getting dirty.

I did look at a few bridal shops first, and they kept steering me toward these elaborate gowns even when I said it was a vow renewal/second marriage situation.

That got old fast. So I took a chance ordering online, and I was honestly bracing for cheap fabric or weird seams.

But the quality is solid—nothing felt flimsy, the fit was comfortable all afternoon, and I didn’t have to fuss with it once. My partner and I had plenty of quiet moments during the ceremony, and I never felt stiff or overdressed.

Guests kept coming up to say how pretty it was, and even the photographer mentioned it photographed really well.

A couple of other women there who are planning their own second weddings asked for the link. It was nice to hear, but mostly I just felt good in it—like I wasn’t pretending to be someone else.

If you’re in that same boat—second wedding, not wanting to drop a fortune—I’d say skip the big formal gowns and look for soft lace and flowy chiffon instead. The midi or high low silhouette keeps it relaxed but still special.

I paired mine with thin silver jewelry, strappy white wedges, and barely any makeup, and it all came together exactly how I hoped. No fuss, no pressure, and way under budget. That left room for other little details that mattered more to us anyway.
