2026 Homecoming Dresses | ANNAKOO Official

People keep asking me which dress is “the best” for homecoming, and honestly that’s the wrong question. It depends on how you move, what lighting you’ll be in, whether you plan to eat anything with a fork. So let me just walk you through what I was thinking when I designed these, and you can decide.
    mint green homecoming dress

The mint green off-shoulder floral tulle one – this started as a sketch for a garden party dress, not even for homecoming. But then I realized half the schools in warmer states do their dances outside or in those big tents. The off-shoulder thing is tricky. I’ll be straight with you: it slips if you don’t tack it down. We put a little silicone strip inside the neckline but it’s not magic. Use fashion tape or just don’t raise both arms over your head while screaming. Otherwise the tulle is light enough that you won’t overheat, and the A-line cut means you can actually walk up stairs without help.
    silver homecoming dress

The silver-to-blue ombre puff sleeve mini – this one I’m proud of because the gradient was a nightmare to source. Most ombre fabrics look cheap up close. This one doesn’t, but the tradeoff is the pleated texture adds a little weight. It’s not heavy, but if you’re used to those tissue-thin fast fashion dresses, you’ll notice the difference. The puff sleeves are divisive in our own team. Half of us loved them, half wanted a straighter cap sleeve. I kept them because they give the dress a silhouette that actually looks good on broader shoulders. If you have very narrow shoulders, try it on first.
    purple tulle homecoming dress

The lavender feather-print tulle – okay this one is basically me giving in to the “ethereal” trend but with a twist. The feather print is screen-printed, not actual feathers, because actual feathers shed everywhere and also it’s cruel. Some people think the deep V is too low. I think it’s fine for a dance if you’re not self-conscious. If you are, you can ask a tailor to close it an inch or just wear a lace bralette under it. The skirt is short and bouncy – good for spinning, bad for wind.
    one shoulder tulle homecoming dress

The one-shoulder ruffled tulle in lavender – this one came from a mistake. I was trying to do a sleek asymmetrical dress and over-ruffled the bottom. Then I looked at it and thought, actually that’s more fun. The draped bodice took three pattern revisions because one-shoulder dresses always gap at the armhole. We fixed it with an internal elastic that you can’t see. Does it work on every body? No. On most bodies, yes. If you have a larger bust, size up and have the waist taken in.
    gold feather homecoming dress

The gold sequin halter with the feather hem – this is the dress I tell people not to buy unless they really mean it. Sequins are scratchy. I tried to line the inside with a soft mesh but there’s only so much you can do. The feather hem will get crushed if someone steps on it. But also? It photographs like a dream and you will be the only person in the room wearing something that stupidly fun. I made this for the girl who doesn’t care about sitting comfortably.

Why we price the way we do – we keep most dresses under $200 because I remember being a student and lying to my parents about how much my dress cost. The under-$100 ones use simpler fabrics (tulle is cheap, sequins are not). The quality difference is real but not embarrassing. Our size range goes up to 3X because I got tired of brands that stop at XL and call it “inclusive.” That’s not a flex, that’s just the bare minimum.

One last thing about styling – ignore most of what you read online. With tulle, wear block heels or you’ll sink into grass. With sequins, wear something simple on your ears because the dress is already loud. And for the love of god, don’t overthink your hair. Off-shoulder dresses look fine with a ponytail. Loose waves are fine with everything. The only real rule is to test your dance moves before you leave the house.
